A play about the radical thinking among ordinary people that accompanied the Parliamentarians' successful challenge to the monarchy in the 1640s, including the Diggers and Levellers movements.

Liverpool Network Theatre Group (the successor to Merseyside Left and Merseyside Unity groups) has a long tradition of thoughtful performance, and is committed to staging high quality productions, accessible to ordinary people. We hope the issues in our productions are relevant today, whether they be modern or more historical pieces.

Currently, we stage three productions per year, while many of our members contribute – on and off stage – to other local community theatre productions.We also run open weekly workshops on Tuesdays at 7pm, for anyone who wants to try some acting and have fun, at Hope St Ltd (13a: entrance in Arrad St, L1 9BQ).Next Production:The Winter’s Tale by William Shakespeare: 13-15 and 20-22 July 2012, various outdoor venues.
