Links

Links are categorised, annotated and a long way from comprehensive. Where information is likely to change quickly, a frequently updated site is listed whereever possible. To suggest a link contact us.

Merseyside Groups, Campaigns and Resources

This is far from complete, and generally only points to web resources and groups members of the social centre group are involved with. News From Nowhere's local links page is far more comprehensive. Please contact us if you want to be added.

  • Keep Our NHS Public - Important campaign group with significant local presence.
  • Kirkby Times - Wonderful local news site that's not afraid to say boo to powerful people.
  • Liverpool Indymedia - Local demo and action reports as well as news and articles.
  • Liverpool Social Forum - Anti-capitalist group with members from many different activist groups. Next to Nowhere was first conceived as part of this groups and most of the social centre group are still heavily involved.
  • Merseyside Animal Rights - A little out of date, but still gives usefull information on animal rights activity on merseyside.
  • News From Nowhere - Radical bookshop, feminist collective and our fabulous landlords. Support them all you can - Next to Nowhere would have been impossible without them.

National Groups and Campaigns

This only really lists groups and campaigns that have had some association with Next to Nowhere, either through individual members being involved or through them using the centre.

Social Centres

This section doesn't list every social centre in the UK, let alone the world, as this is constantly changing as old centres close and new ones open. What it does do is link to the most frequently updated news sources and lists of centres and to background articles.
